Engineering Intern

The Truckee Sanitary District (District) is seeking a highly motivated Summer Engineering Intern to assist the District in creating physical wiring diagrams in support of an upgrade to its supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system. The position will require a working knowledge of Autocad and an understanding of electrical control components, wiring, and spatial layout.

Pay Range: $18.00 to $24.00 per hour DOE.

Dates of Employment: Approximately May 27, 2019 through September 1, 2019.

Truckee Sanitary District is the local public agency responsible for wastewater collection and conveyance in the greater Truckee area. The District owns and operates over 300 miles of pipe and 40 pumping stations to serve its 12,000 customers. The District's mission is to protect the public health and environment of the Truckee area.

Staffing & Organization

TSD is governed locally by a five-member Board of Directors elected at large from within TSD's boundaries. The Board of Directors is responsible for setting policy and general administrative procedures for TSD. The policies and procedures set by the Board are then administered by the General Manager of TSD. TSD operates with a full-time staff of approximately 40 employees.
